IIID OPENS DELHI CENTRE
INDIAN INSTITUTE of Interior Designers (IIID), that has 14 chapters and centres all over the country, with over 3,000 interior design professionals associated with it, recently inaugurated its Delhi centre. The Institute is a member of the International Federation of Interior Designers
(IFI) and Asia Pacific Space Design Association (APSDA). The main objective of IIID, that was set up in 1972, are the creation of standards, guidelines and ethics for the design industry and for professional members' conduct and practice.
The inaugural ceremony unfolded with a welcome note by Lipika Sud, secretary, IIID, Delhi. Some of the country's leading designers and architects presented their views on the opening of the Delhi centre. Prof. K.T. Ravindran, chairman, IIID, Delhi, gave a welcome speech followed by a detailed note by Shrikant Nivasarkar (Vice-President, IIID) on the objectives and activities of IIID. |
